This research paper delves into the transformative potential of quantum computing in the gaming industry, focusing on how its key principles—superposition, entanglement, decoherence, and interference—can lead to more immersive and complex gameplay experiences. By leveraging qubits, quantum computing allows for the processing of multiple states simultaneously, enabling advancements such as enhanced AI, procedural generation, and realistic graphics that surpass the capabilities of classical computers. Additionally, this paper examines the current landscape of quantum gaming and critically analyzes the development of games utilizing quantum computing technologies. The paper also explores quantum game theory, particularly how quantum strategies, exemplified by the quantum version of the Prisoner’s Dilemma, differ from classical approaches and could lead to entirely new gaming genres.
