Abstract

We here present two novel datasets which contain eye tracking data of a combined 4,075 museum visitors from 4 to 81 years old. Both datasets were collected at the NEMO Science Museum Amsterdam. Dataset 1 contains gaze data of 1,248 visitors who all freeviewed the same collage stimulus for ten seconds. Dataset 2 contains gaze- and response data of 2,827 visitors who searched in the same collage stimulus for a small 'x' or '+' which could be in one of six locations. Both datasets may be of particular interest to researchers who want to investigate spatial attention and eye movement dynamics across a wide age range. In this manuscript, we describe the methods used to obtain these data and provide summary statistics for the data themselves. All data and code can be retrieved from the Open Science Framework https://osf.io/sk4fr/.
