Abstract: The construction ruler used for this hall is 294.28 millimeters long, with 10 cun per ruler (equivalent to 12 small cun), conforming to the architectural systems of the Tang and Song dynasties. Instead of the "Caifen system" (component proportion standard) specified in the Yingzao Fashi (Treatise on Architectural Methods), an architectural modular system was adopted: the basic module is 1 ruler; 4 small cun and 6 small cun (half a ruler) serve as sub-modules (4 small cun equals 1/3 of the basic module), and 0.4 small cun is also a sub-module (equaling 1/30 of the basic module). The building’s external form follows proportional relationships constrained by integer dimensions.Key words: Chongfu Temple Shuozhoul;construction module;Yinzaochi;proportion
