Abstract

This study investigates the potential speed of light through wormholes by integrating Quranic descriptions of angelic travel (32:5, 70:3-4) [3a,10] with Einstein’s relativistic physics. Our calculations reveal that in the Cosmic Realm (Mi’raj/Wormhole time), the speed of light could be effectively 18 million times faster than in normal space due to extreme time dilation effects. This suggests that angels or celestial entities could traverse vast distances instantaneously from their own perspective while maintaining relativistic constraints. Applying the Hadith-based 500-year travel intervals between the seven heavens, we estimate their total span to be between 23 and 47 quadrillion Earth-years in light-travel distance [11,12]—far exceeding the observable universe’s size of 46.5 billion light-years. The study further demonstrates how wormholes, predicted by Einstein’s field equations [1a,b,c], could serve as plausible conduits [2a,2b] for such journeys by dramatically shortening spatial distances rather than violating the speed of light. These findings bridge religious cosmology and advanced astrophysical theories [4], suggesting that the Quranic descriptions of celestial motion [8] may correspond to higher-dimensional space-time structures, wormholes, or other extreme relativistic phenomena yet to be fully understood by modern science.
