The present study investigates the connection between Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) by using cultural psychiatry to combine psychological theory with Vedic astrological frameworks. The research uses ethnographic methods to examine selected personal narratives which reveal how psychological traits and culturally embedded cosmological systems affect interpersonal relationships. The research approaches psychological and astrological models as cultural frameworks for interpretation instead of using them as independent diagnostic instruments to understand emotional distress and relational harm. The research demonstrates that interpersonal behavior consists of multiple factors which include intergenerational patterns, environmental factors, genetic predispositions, and life transitions while showing similarities to Vedic astrological components such as houses in the charts, dashas, current transits, zodiac signs, nakshatras, and planetary positions in divisional charts. The research combines psychological theory with participant narratives to demonstrate how cosmological perspectives hold symbolic meaning while promoting cultural sensitivity and therapeutic engagement. The research supports psychiatric models which recognize metaphysical beliefs but avoid blending them with biomedical interventions by developing culturally sensitive approaches that create empathetic and inclusive mental health therapy practices.
