Chinese characters read in dreaming show similarities to the diffusion model - A case study

In this article, we present a case study in which the subject struggled to read a notice board in a dream and attempted to record the content in memory as accurately as possible. We found that the record identified by the subject contained almost no correct Chinese characters but bore a resemblance to the characters generated by the diffusion model, a popular image-generating model. We hypothesize potential reasons for this phenomenon and discuss its implications for brain function and cognitive neuroscience. Although this single case is insufficient to draw any strong conclusions, it serves as a valuable supplement to dream research.
