Abstract

Quantitative research methods are insufficient in understanding human behavior. While quantitative research methods are suitable for explaining relationships between variables, they are not an appropriate approach for gaining in-depth knowledge about a specific context. Quantitative research has generally accepted criteria regarding validity, reliability, sampling methods, and sample size; however, these aspects remain a topic of debate for qualitative research. This debate arises from evaluating qualitative research within the paradigm of quantitative research methods. Qualitative research has its unique application methods. This study addresses the debates on the validity and reliability of qualitative research and provides information about the validity, reliability, sampling methods, and sample size in qualitative studies. Within this framework, it is evaluated that this study will make a significant contribution to literature and serve as a valuable resource.
