    This study had some limitations. Firstly is restrospective design and the short duration for the collection of our records, secondly, we did not perform a follow-up CT to explore the radiology evolution of our cases, which might aid in the judgment of the course of the disease. Conclusions: We suggest that the use of PII together with clinical and laboratory data may be valuable in determining the inflammatory status of COVID-19. It was correlated to inflammatory markers as D dimer, ferritin even before clinical deterioration. This may allow clinicians to avoid advance of the disease by proper early intervention and improve cure rates.
