This study elucidates the molecular mechanisms underlying coppicing-enhanced regeneration in Acer triflorum through multi-omics analysis. Current-year coppicing significantly activated the isoflavonoid biosynthesis pathway (Ko00943), characterized by upregulation of key genes including 4'-methoxyisoflavone 2'-hydroxylase and concomitant accumulation of isoflavonoids such as genistein and daidzein, demonstrating a gradient response correlated with phenotypic traits including shoot elongation. The research establishes a "coppicing-gene expression-metabolite accumulation-phenotypic output" regulatory cascade, revealing that isoflavonoid metabolism coordinates defense responses and regenerative growth to drive plant rejuvenation. These findings provide novel theoretical insights into the regeneration mechanisms of woody plants and offer a scientific basis for optimizing tree rejuvenation techniques.
