This study presents a systematic review and interdisciplinary analysis of ethical challenges associated with generative AI technologies (N = 37) in digital education, with a focus on teacher ethics. Key concerns include data privacy, academic integrity, intellectual property, algorithmic bias, and misinformation, all of which affect ethical teaching practices. The ability of generative AI to create realistic synthetic content undermines traditional principles of authenticity, trust, and fairness in education. Drawing from education, technology ethics, and digital pedagogy, the paper underscores the need for robust ethical guidelines to support responsible AI integration. It advocates for equitable, transparent AI systems and highlights the importance of enhancing teachers’ digital literacy and ethical awareness. The study calls for institutional policies and professional development to address emerging ethical dilemmas and contributes both theoretically and practically to the discourse on ethical AI use in education. A balanced, ethically informed approach is essential to align innovation with responsible pedagogy in the digital age.
