Abstract

The high demand of various web-based applications is rapidly increasing withthe recent ongoing advancements in digital technology. The key element of thesuccess of these applications depends on effective user-friendly data access. Thishas fueled rapidly evolving research on the development of secure smart Webportals. Over the past years various ideas and authentication techniques havebeen proposed using fuzzy logic, biometric authentications etc. In this paper, wepresent a novel and comprehensive security framework that establishes a robustmultilayered defense by using three distinct but synergistic mechanisms, suchas honeywords, keystroke dynamics, and fuzzy logic. The system’s foundationaldeception layer utilizes honeywords, complementing this, keystroke dynamicsintroduces a continuous behavioral biometric authentication factor, the framework also integrates fuzzy logic that acts as an adaptive decision engine. Theproposed system is deployed and tested in the distributed environment.
