Objective To construct an evaluation indicator system for the ideological and political education in the Basic Nursing course. Methods Based on the CIPP model framework, The Delphi expert consultation method was employed, inviting 20 experts over two rounds to provide supportive opinions and modification suggestions. The scores, coefficient values, consistency ratios, and weights of each primary, secondary, and tertiary indicator were statistically analyzed. Results The response rates for both rounds of expert consultation were 100%. The expert authority coefficients were 0.92 and 0.98, respectively; the judgment coefficients were 0.85 and 0.98; and Kendall's W values were 0.207 and 0.216 ( P < 0.001). The final developed evaluation indicator system comprises 4 primary indicators, 14 secondary indicators, and 55 tertiary indicators. Conclusion The evaluation indicator system for ideological and political education in the Basic Nursing course, developed from the perspective of the CIPP model.
