Antibiotics, also known as antibacterials, are medications that fight against or slow down the growth of bacteria. Presently, multiple types of modern antibiotics are available, and they are usually only available with a prescription in most countries, but in India, antibiotics seem to be like over-the-counter (OTC) medicines in most of the places. It’s reported that public panic towards covid 19 in India leads to the utilization of antibiotics (especially azithromycin) without prescription. In the present study, it’s looking to the survey study between pharma/Healthcare students and professionals across the country in order to reveal the real facts behind this atrocious matter. The survey was completed successfully across the country in a state-wise, and it was concluded that the sale and use of antibiotics post covid outbreak in India has increased to 9X times, and it is still increasing day by day. This survey report was submitted to the Drug Control and healthcare authorities by enlighten the future consequences and suggest the precautions needed to be taken on an immediate basis.
