Abstract

Background This study highlights the problem and influence of understaffing on patient care by examining the relationship between workloads and missed nursing care. Approach The study employs a descriptive cross-sectional design and selects nurses from three local hospitals using a simple random sample process. Using the Personal Workload View Scale (IWPS) and the Missed Nursing Care (Miscare Survey), the primary goal was to assess each individual's perspective on their workload. Results or impacts With an R-value of 0.21 and a P-value of 0.001, it was determined that there was a significant correlation between MNC and nursing workloads. The results indicate that the likelihood of receiving nursing care increases with the nursing charge. In conclusion Conclusions highlight the importance of solving issues of assistive work conditions for nurses and improving the quality of patient care. To improve the patient and nurse results, more research is required to provide evidence-based intervention.
