Abstract

Spiritual intelligence encompasses beyond the cognitive, delving into purpose, meaning, and values. Employees with higher spiritual intelligence may find greater fulfillment and alignment with their organization's mission and culture, leading to increased job satisfaction and reduced turnover intention. Moreover, spiritual intelligence enables individuals to navigate challenges and conflicts with resilience and perspective, potentially mitigating the turnover intention factors. Thus, this study examines the factors contributing to reducing turnover intention. A total of 278 teachers and trainers in the UPTs ( technical implementation unit) of the Ministry of Transportation in Indonesia participated in this study. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS). This study found that job satisfaction and sanctification mediate the relationship between spiritual intelligence and turnover intention. In conclusion, this study has successfully investigated the role of spiritual intelligence in reducing turnover. It found that teachers with higher spiritual intelligence derive meaning from their work, which could potentially improve classroom dynamics and job satisfaction while reducing turnover intentions. Investing in spiritual values through effective teaching methods is crucial for organizational retention and well-being.
