Abstract

There is a fundamental aspect that deserves special attention in the young population: optimal mental health, understood as a state of well-being in which a person is aware of their capabilities, able to cope with normal stresses in day-to-day life, perform academic tasks productively, and actively participate in their community (for example, in the educational environment). The aim was to develop a 6-month intervention protocol on life skills and active lifestyle (procedure phases and intervention activities), following the Transparent Reporting of Evaluation with Nonrandomized Designs (TREND) guidelines, for the acquisition of life skills (intra- and interpersonal intelligence) in university students. The study concludes regarding the need to design and implement multicomponent intervention programs for the promotion and improvement of health by integrating emotional regulation strategies, social relationships, and the practice of healthy physical exercise in university students.
