Abstract

ccRCC(clear cell renal cell carcinoma)represents a frequently occurring malignancy affecting the urogenital system which exhibits significant fatality rates. Consequently, there exists an imperative need to identify an innovative molecular biomarker capable of reliably predicting patient prognosis while optimizing treatment efficacy. Our investigation involved screening mRNAs associated with disulfidptosis followed by constructing and validating a risk model utilizing these disulfidptosis-related mRNAs; ultimately selecting EPB41L5 as our focus for subsequent analysis. Multiple investigations have indicated that EPB41L5 holds the potential as an essential prognostic indicator in ccRCC cases. Furthermore, experimental validation demonstrated that reduced expression levels of EPB41L5 were associated with increased malignancy in ccRCC cells. To summarize, our research offers valuable insights into both prognosis assessment and therapeutic approaches for patients diagnosed with ccRCC.
