Abstract

Percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PED) is a minimally invasive procedure effective in treating degenerative lumbar spine diseases. Although the overall perioperative complication rate is low, certain adverse events—such as increased intracranial pressure due to dural tear, perioperative hypertension, and tachycardia—may still occur. These complications, while uncommon, require heightened vigilance during the perioperative period to ensure optimal patient safety.
