Abstract

This scholarly inquiry seeks to understand the coordination challenges that urban local governments in Bangladesh face. The study examines the coordination variables that influence the efficacy of service delivery between city corporations and other developmental organizations within urban areas in Bangladesh. Empirical data was gathered from 384 respondents distributed across four city corporations—namely, Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation, Chattogram City Corporation, and Cumilla City Corporation—utilizing a purposive sampling technique and structured questionnaire on a five-point Likert scale. Subsequently, a survey questionnaire was disseminated to collect the requisite research data, with the ensuing data analysis conducted through the application of SPSS and AMOS software versions 25 and 21. The findings of this investigation underscore that both task interdependence and trust exhibit a positive correlation with service delivery, while resource sharing functions as a moderating variable in the interplay between task interdependence, trust, and service delivery.
