Abstract

Information Technology plays a crucial role in digital equity in education to be more comprehensive and accessible. Digital equity ensures that all individuals , regardless of their culture or abilities, have equal access to technology and educational opportunities. Digital equity continues to pose a significant challenge within the realm of global education, as language barriers and limitations in accessibility obstruct students from marginalized communities from fully participating in digital learning environments. Although advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and big data present potential solutions, the practical application of these technologies in educational contexts necessitates further investigation. The research adopts a case study design of the chosen universities and information centers in the Arab world that has adopted AI-based translation and big data-based accessibility services to assist students with disabilities and language difficulties. This research identifies the prospects and constraints of using new technologies in inclusive education and provides empirical evidence of how AI and big data can be used to enhance digital equity. It is likely that the results would inform policymakers, educational leaders, and technology creators on how to create fair, humanistic digital learning ecosystems in which every student, irrespective of language or ability, will be able to enjoy full education. This study concludes that human design, sustainable finance, as well as supportive regulatory structures, are all essential in achieving the integration of new technologies. These results of this report hold great importance in offering legislators, administrators in education, as well as new technologies developers, valuable information that will guide the development of a beneficial environment in the field of education.
