Abstract

After a collegial do-not-resuscitate (DNR) decision, patients who consulted in the emergency department (ED) for COVID-19 pneumonia were not admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). We conducted a retrospective, multicenter cohort study during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the 229 patients included, half of these patients were alive 28 days after their admission to the ED.
