Abstract

This paper presents the design, simulation, and performance analysis of a multiband circular slot antenna implemented on a denim substrate for wearable wireless applications. The proposed structure resonates at 3.053 GHz and 6.6994 GHz, covering the ISM and sub-6 GHz 5G bands. With jeans used as a flexible, low-permittivity substrate, the antenna demonstrates excellent return loss, wide impedance bandwidth, and low Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), making it suitable for safe on-body deployment. Simulations confirm strong impedance matching (S 11 < –10 dB) at multiple frequencies and SAR values well below IEEE limits, validating the antenna’s suitability for Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) applications.
