The report investigated effects of Human Resource (HR) strategies on digital transformation focusing on the role of moderating effects of sustainability practices in Jordanian service organizations. The qualitative research design was based on the administration of the structured questionnaire to the senior and middle-level managers of ten big companies that actively introduce the digital initiatives. Two hundred and seventy-six valid responses were obtained, and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to test the hypothesized relationships. The results show that HR strategies are important in increasing digital transformation through encouraging technological use, culture of innovation, and digital competence in employees. Besides, the sustainability practices have been observed to mediate between the relations between HR strategies and digital transformation, meaning that the more strongly organizations adopt the idea of sustainability in their HR policies, the more digitally resilient and efficient their operations become. The findings also highlight the strategic importance of HR in the formation of sustainable digital ecosystems and justify the necessity to incorporate sustainability-based HR frameworks that help accelerate the outcomes of the digital transformation initiatives. The research adds to the Resource-Based View (RBV) by establishing the connection between HR strategic alignment and sustainability as the complementary forces of digital capability and organizational progress. It is advised future research should be conducted to determine the moderating impact of organizational learning and green innovation in digitally transforming industries in Jordan.
