Abstract

Morocco has undertaken significant reforms in its health system, particularly in expanding health coverage and investing in the training of health professionals through the Instituts Supérieurs des Professions Infirmières et Techniques de Santé (ISPITS). Despite these advances, persistent challenges remain regarding equity, quality of care, and the adequacy of training to meet public health needs. This article reviews the literature on public health in Morocco, analyzes the challenges of the national health system, and explores the contribution of ISPITS to preparing a competent workforce. Findings indicate a mismatch between ISPITS curricula and national public health priorities, especially in prevention, health promotion, and community health. Recommendations are provided for curricular reforms, digital integration, and strengthening social accountability.
