Abstract

A novel fabrication of dendrimer–hydrogel(DEN-H) of poly(AM-co-AA) composites are prepared by physical cross-linking. Report includes a flexible dendrimer-hydrogel composites are with excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength and hardness. The embedded dendrimer (DEN) within copolymer interacted through hydrogen bonding which is responsible for softening of DEN-H composite. The precursor is investigated by FTIR, NMR, LCMS, and Thermo gravimetric analysis techniques. Prepared DEN-H composites formation is confirmed by FT-IR. Thermal behaviour is studied by Thermo gravimetric analysis. Swelling behaviour such as swelling ratio, equilibrium water content (EWC) and the effect of pH on swelling ratio of composites are studied.
