Abstract

This study projects Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) implementation in post-conflict Ukraine using dual analytical approaches. Monte Carlo simulation (2,000 iterations per scenario) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with 50 decision-making units assess agricultural efficiency across five major crops projections demonstrate ZBNF's potential economic viability with mean Net Present Value ranging from $148 (pessimistic) to $1,853 (optimistic) per hectare over 3.5 years. Data Envelopment Analysis reveals cost savings of $85–133 per hectare across crops, with hybrid approaches recommended for sunflower, barley, and maize. Environmental benefits include 34% soil health improvement and 41% biodiversity enhancement. Statistical significance testing (p < 0.05) confirms ZBNF's potential for sustainable post-conflict agricultural recovery, supporting policy recommendations for gradual implementation with farmer training programs.
