Abstract

Introduction: We present a video vignette with technical description of the first colorectal surgery using Hugo RAS System in Brazil. Methods : A 57-year old female, with a T4 (invasion of the abdominal wall) adenocarcinoma in the splenic flexure was submitted to robotic left angulectomy. A simplified docking was conducted as standardized by Bianchi et al (01) and is shown on figure 1 . Intracorporeal Kono-S anastomosis was performed. The patient had a good postoperative recovery and was discharged on the second postoperative day Conclusion : robotic colorectal surgery for cancer is safe and feasible using the novel Hugo RAS System.
