Abstract

A metal- and light-free carbenoid C–H insertion procedure has been developed, enabling the rapid construction of various fluorenes with quaternary carbon centers. This methodology exhibits exceptional functional group tolerance, enabling the incorporation of a wide range of both activated and non-activated electrophiles.
