Abstract

Background : A notable advance is the amalgamation of artificial intelligence (AI) into healthcare practice and education. Aim of the study : To evaluate the effectiveness of educational strategies in enhancing nursing students’ knowledge and acceptance of artificial intelligence. Methods: A quasi-experimental research design was adopted. Subjects: A convenience sample of 1000 undergraduate nursing students at the Faculty of Nursing, Sohag University, Egypt. Tool: A structured interview questionnaire was used (pre- and post-test). Results : A statistically significant improvement in knowledge and acceptability at p < 0.001. A strong positive correlation was found between knowledge and acceptability (p < 0.01). Conclusion: This study concluded that the educational strategies had a positive effect on enhancing nursing students' knowledge and acceptance regarding artificial intelligence. Recommendations: These findings underscore the need to incorporate AI training into nursing curricula to prepare the next generation of healthcare specialists for the evolving digital health landscape. Additionally, support student-led research projects that explore AI applications in nursing to foster critical thinking and innovation.
