Aim: This study aimed to examine the efficacy of telephone-based nursing follow-up in evaluating erectile function and sexual satisfaction among Turkish men in the early postoperative period following prostatectomy. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted between December 2023 and December 2024 involving 96 male patients who underwent prostatectomy in a tertiary care setting in western Turkey. The sample size was determined using G*Power software. Data were collected via structured telephone interviews on postoperative day 30, utilizing the Patient Information Form, the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (NSSS), and the International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IIEF-5). Ethical approval and institutional permissions were obtained prior to data collection. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, paired samples t-tests, Mann–Whitney U tests, and Kruskal–Wallis tests, as appropriate. Results: The mean NSSS total score was 80.66 ± 20.54 (range:40–100). The ego-centered subscale yielded a mean score of 40.66 ± 7.62 (range:20–50). The mean IIEF-5 score was 19.59 ± 5.32. No statistically significant associations were identified between patients’ sociodemographic or clinical variables (age, body mass index, smoking and alcohol consumption, and postoperative complications) and NSSS or IIEF-5 scores. Conclusions: Telephone-based nursing interventions appear to be an effective method for monitoring postoperative sexual health outcomes, including erectile function and sexual satisfaction, among prostatectomy patients. The findings underscore the importance of integrating tele-nursing approaches into routine postoperative care protocols to facilitate comprehensive, patient-centered management of sexual health.
