Abstract

In this paper we deal with a nonlinear generalization of the Guyer-Krumhansl (GK) equation applied to cylindrical nanowires for exploring the existence of nonlinear travelling waves. In the moving frame of reference the GK equation may be written in terms of the Riccati equation, which leads to some nonlinear exact solutions. These solutions are analyzed as candidates for the transmission of thermal signals along nanosystems. Finally, a linear stability analysis of the equation is carried out.
