The trends in changes in college wage premium - evidence from Poland

Data on graduates of Polish universities from 2015–2022 indicate a steady increase in the college wage premium. This does not confirm the phenomena described for other countries, including the USA, indicating stagnation in the college wage premium. The data also indicates a different college wage premium for different universities, fields of study and types of studies. At the same time, the increase in the premium indicates the existing potential for the growth of the importance of highly qualified staff for the economy. The article uses administrative data from the social insurance system provided by the graduate tracking system. JEL classification numbers I23, J23, J31
