Background: This study evaluates the use and perceived effectiveness of various staff training methods among senior administrative staff at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana. Purpose: To explore training method usage and staff perceptions of effectiveness. Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 120 purposively selected senior administrative staff. Results: Career/development training had the highest mean effectiveness rating (3.54), while distance and Internet-based training was the least rated (2.66). Conclusion: A strong preference for traditional training methods persists, indicating limited digital readiness. Recommendations: Institutions must modernise training delivery through blended models, capacity building, alignment with adult learning principles, and technology acceptance strategies.
