Abstract

Early diagnosis of cognitive and neuron disorders such as Autism, Dyslexia, and Dementia frequently hampered by the unavailability of healthcare infrastructure particularly in the remote and underprivileged regions. In this paper, we present an Android-based mobile application, CereBro, as a solution to this limitation, providing an affordable and interactive platform for early detection of these disorders. Unlike a research paper that is focused on model development or accuracy benchmarks, CereBro is concerned with practical usability, deployment, and user experience. It leverages lightweight pre-existing machine learning techniques to drive three different modules: analysis of a behavioral questionnaire to test for autism, evaluation of a dental text passage to track for dyslexic symptoms, and cognitive gaming inspired by typical psychometric tests to monitor for signs of dementia. Recognizing CereBro as a stroke risk awareness system that is user friendly, simple and frontline orientated, and should not be considered a diagnostic tool. This paper discusses the architecture of the app, the deployment approach, and the concept of the app as a gateway between users and formal medical evaluations, rather than addressing in-depth information on how individual ML models work, or how well they perform.
