Abstract

In the digital economy, corporate digital transformation (CDT) has become essential for enterprises to maintain high-quality development. This study explores the impact of the government digital governance on CDT. Accordingly, this study finds that the Internet Plus government service platform facilitates CDT through interactions between the government and enterprises vis-à-vis interactive intentions, equipment, and actions. Interactive intentions, by increasing corporate exposure and reputation and optimizing the business environment, alleviate resource constraints for CDT; interactive equipment enriches the information channels and enhances digital literacy, thereby improving CDT capabilities; and interactive actions accelerate the CDT process by optimizing the coordination of internal and external resources. This study expands the antecedents of CDT from macro governance and enriches the economic consequences of digital governance effects. It provides practical implications for the government to guide CDT through macro policies and inspires enterprises to actively use digital government platforms to accelerate CDT and achieve sustainable development.
