Abstract

Oyster aquaculture is an important part of the fishery industry. Along with the continuous expansion of the aquaculture scale, the development of oyster aquaculture industry has exposed many problems. The evaluation of industrial development is an important tool to measure the development process, identify the development opportunities, and promote the growth of the industry. In order to construct an indicator system suitable for the evaluation of the green development level of oyster and other aquaculture industries and to make methodological choices, this study uses R-clustering factor analysis to construct an evaluation indicator system, integrates various empowerment and evaluation methods to overcome the shortcomings of a single method, and adopts grey relational analysis to explore the influencing factors. Consequently, a theoretical framework for evaluating the green development level of the oyster aquaculture industry is formulated, which is both innovative and pioneering in nature. The results of empirical analysis to evaluate the level of green development of oyster aquaculture industry in China show that the results obtained by various methods are consistent and in line with the actual situation of the industry, and the methods are scientific, objective and applicable.
