Abstract

Purpose : This study aims to comprehend the evolving landscape of the toy industry by conducting a domain-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Researchers have framed four basic research questions: RQ 1 : What are the recent publication trends in the toy domain? RQ 2 : What are the various clusters in the toy domain literature? RQ 3: How do government and economic developments affect the emergence of the toy domain? RQ 4 : What are the future research aspects in the domain? Research Design : A Systematic Literature Review has been written following PRISMA 2020 guidelines and Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Reviews (SPAR-4-SLR) protocols, we meticulously selected papers from Scopus to identify historical developments and track structural changes within the industry. For the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Biblioshiny tool of R programming and VosViewer have been used. Descriptive Statistics, Author’s Keywords, Cluster analysis, and Factorial Analysis (PCA) have been done. Key Finding : The result shows the growth in a subject area is a 5.71% annual growth rate, term deep learning has topped in the most relevant words, followed by machine learning and IoT. The toy domain has been defined in 9 different clusters. Callon Centrality of toy manufacture was found at 9.22, and toys were found on 8.77, exhibiting an established cluster connection with toy and toy manufacture. Recent developments in toys were related to wooden toys, machine learning toys and IoT toys. Originality/ Implication : As per the author’s knowledge, there is no review study available on the toy domain.
