The application of advanced narrative fusion PBL in the teaching of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing theory course

Objective To explore the application effect of advanced narrative fusion PBL ( problem-based learning ) teaching method in Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing. Methods A total of 215 nursing undergraduates of grade 2021 in a university were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into control group ( 99 people ) and experimental group ( 116 people ) according to the class. The control group used traditional PBL teaching. On the basis of PBL teaching,the experimental group integrated the advanced narrative teaching of “preliminary perception-emotional resonance-professional identity”. The effect of teaching reform was evaluated by self-made teaching satisfaction questionnaire,caring ability evaluation scale and nursing students ' professional identity scale. Results The nursing students in the experimental group were more than 80 % satisfied with the advanced narrative fusion PBL teaching. The caring ability and professional identity of the nursing students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group ( t = 2.050, P = 0.042; t = 0.999, P = 0.026 ). Conclusion The advanced narrative fusion PBL teaching has high satisfaction, and can effectively improve the humanistic care ability of nursing students and strengthen the professional identity of nursing students.
