Abstract

Background : Lung cancer, caused by uncontrolled cell growth in lung tissue, poses a challenge to global health for its aggressive nature and poor prognosis. Despite advancements in medical research LC is the 2 nd cause of cancer-related deaths, highlighting the urgent need for innovative therapeutic strategies. This study investigates the effect of BV on the NSCLC, specifically LLC. Methods : This study investigated the anti-cancer properties of BV using in-vivo models-Haemoglobin assay, Histopathology and RT-PCR Assay. The lung cancer was induced to the rats with the suspension of NCI-H460 cell line. After getting successful result in assay by inhibiting mitosis cell division along with the root no & root length ,observed in Allium cepa, in BSL model by observing the lethality of BSL in MTT Assay further confirmed the cytotoxic effects on NCI-H460cell lines, showing a dose-dependent reduction in cell viability, we induced NCI-H460 cell line suspension in the rats & after the formation of the tumor rats received treatment with the test drug, standard drug (Methotrexate) & the Standard + extract of the test drug. Results : Results were observed in Haemoglobin assay, Histopathological assay & Rt-PCR Method. The test drug showed anti-angiogenesis activity & normal cell no & shape were also observed in test group along with standard group. Conclusion : The study demonstrates that BV exhibits its potential & promising anti-cancer properties by showing positive results in all models, the anti-angiogenic activity was observed in haemoglobin and histopathological assays, along with a developed & significant Real-Time PCR assay.
