Abstract

The biological application of Raman microspectroscopy - a non-invasive, label-free, imaging technology for detecting biomolecules – has been limited by the challenging interpretation of cellular spectra. Using an optimised methodology, we deliver quantitative biologically relevant information to characterise biomolecular variation within cell populations that provides a clear distinction between cellular states. This approach yields content-rich, high-resolution molecular analysis of complex cell populations without the need for genetic modification, fluorescent reporters, or disruptive techniques.
