Abstract

The creating fire-resilient cities necessitates a comprehensive strategy that balances innovative technology, community empowerment, fire-resistant design, and progressive governance. A roadmap for converting reactive firefighting into proactive urban safeguarding is provided by the lessons learned from historical and contemporary case studies, as well as by developments in AI and IoT. In a time of growing climate uncertainty, communities can reduce fire risks and promote sustainable growth by addressing current disparities in equity, infrastructure, and policy coherence. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on urban resilience by providing planners and policymakers with workable solutions to protect people, ecosystems, and financial stability in areas that are vulnerable to fire.
