The main purpose of this review to analyzes the impact of equity and perceived workplace fairness on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) by synthesizing research conducted from 2001 to 2024. The study employed both qualitative and descriptive analytical methods to organize, analyze, and compile the available literature. The preceding theoretical and empirical literature are compiled through systematic review. It emphasizes the significance of equity and fairness perceptions in fostering employee engagement, job satisfaction, and commitment, highlighting a predominance of quantitative methodologies in the existing literature. The review identifies a geographical bias, particularly towards U.S.based studies, and notes a gap in qualitative and mixed-method approaches. It underlines the need for future research to include diverse methodologies, broaden the temporal scope, and consider long-term effects of perceived fairness on OCB. The findings provide valuable insights for scholars and practitioners aiming to enhance workplace equity and effectiveness.
