Abstract

This work presents modeling improvements in a multibody model of a tiltrotor wind-tunnel testbed recently tested within the Horizon 2020 project ATTILA. Experimental results revealed discrepancies with conventional aeroelastic predictions, attributed to unmodeled aerodynamic interactions and unexpected friction in certain joints. This paper examines how incorporating these effects into the model improved prediction accuracy.
