Abstract

Type-II SrTiO3 /PPy composites were prepared via in-situ oxidative polymer- ization to improve the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B (RhB).The influence of surfactant types and pyrrole concentrations on structural properties and photocatalytic performance was systematically examined.A core- shell structure was confirmed by XRD, FT-IR, TEM, and XPS analyses, in which SrTiO3 was uniformly encapsulated by PPy without changes to its crystalline phase. The composite synthesized with 5.2% pyrrole and anionic surfactant (SDS) exhibited optimal activity, achieving 97.60% RhB degradation under UV irradiation within 90 min. Bandgap analysis and radical trapping experiments revealed a Type-II heterojunction mechanism, which facilitated efficient charge separation and transfer. This work provides a strategic approach for designing high-performance SrTiO3-based photocatalysts.
