Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS) is a common overuse injury that can impair physical function and limit daily activities. Reduced physical activity due to pain may negatively affect overall quality of life. This study aimed to assess the relationship between physical activity levels and quality of life in patients diagnosed with ITBS. A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 278 participants aged 25 to 35 years in hospital settings across Lahore. After obtaining informed consent, data were collected using a self-developed demographic questionnaire. Renne’s test was used to evaluate ITB tightness, pain levels were assessed using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS), physical activity was measured with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), and quality of life was evaluated through the SF-36. Of the 278 participants, data from 278 were analyzed using SPSS version 21. Significant associations were found between IPAQ scores and physical functioning, role limitations (both physical and emotional), emotional well-being, and social functioning (p < 0.05). However, associations with general health and energy/fatigue were not significant. These findings underscore the importance of physical activity in enhancing the quality of life among patients with ITBS.
