Abstract

This study validates a brief tool to assess parental burnout in Chile, which has the highest reported prevalence in Latin America of this condition in Latin America. A five-item scale was tested among 1,103 parents. Results confirmed strong psychometric performance and meaningful classification into risk levels. The scale's brevity and accuracy make it suitable for clinical, public health, and research use, allowing for early detection and targeted intervention.
