This study investigates the relationship between digital innovation capability and firm innovation performance in high-technology enterprises, with particular emphasis on the moderating role of Human-AI integration. Using panel data from 9,850 firm-year observations of Chinese and Korean high-tech companies from 2015 to 2022, we employ fixed-effects regression models to examine these relationships. The findings reveal that digital innovation capability significantly enhances firm innovation performance, and this positive relationship is strengthened by the level of Human AI integration within the organization. Comparative analysis between Chinese and Korean firms indicates that while both countries demonstrate positive relationships, the moderating effect of Human-AI integration is more pronounced in Chinese high-tech firms. These results contribute to innovation management literature by highlighting the importance of combining digital capabilities with effective Human-AI integration strategies to maximize innovation outcomes. Our findings provide practical implications for managers seeking to optimize their digital transformation initiatives and innovation performance.
