This study introduces an interactive MATLAB-based graphical user interface (GUI) designed for material safety analysis, leveraging four prominent failure criteria: Tresca, von Mises, Christensen, Tsai-Hill, and Tsai-Wu. This open-source tool facilitates real-time visualization and assessment of material failure under diverse stress states, enabling users to input material properties and stress conditions. Incorporating a dual-strength approach - accounting for both tensile and compressive strengths - it ensures realistic evaluations across ductile, brittle, and composite materials. Key features include dynamic plotting of failure envelopes in principal stress space (σ₁ and σ₂), immediate pass/fail feedback, and criterion selection for comparative analysis. Tailored for both educational and professional contexts, the tool enhances understanding of failure theories and provides engineers with an efficient decision-making platform. By bridging theoretical learning with practical application, the GUI significantly contributes to material safety evaluation and design optimization in engineering practices.
