Objective: To analyze the step-by-step treatment options for congenital dacryocyst amniotic cyst and evaluate their effectiveness and safety. Study Design: Retrospective study. Place and Duration of the Study: Department of Comprehensive Eye,Yichang Aier Eye Hospital,Yichang,Hubei 443000,China.from January 2022 to September 2023. Methodology: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 12 children with congenital lacrimal sac amniotic fluid cyst treated at Yichang Aier Eye Hospital from January 2022 to September 2023. Treatment methods were selected based on age at diagnosis, medical history, treatment history, and nasal endoscopy findings. Options included lacrimal sac area massage with eye drops, lacrimal duct probing and aspiration, cyst rupture under nasal endoscopy, and endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. Postoperative outcomes were evaluated based on symptom relief, tear duct flushing, and nasolacrimal duct opening. Surgical success was defined as cyst disappearance and unobstructed tear duct flushing. Results: There were 12 cases (13 eyes) with ages ranging from 1 to 6 months. Treatments included lacrimal sac massage with eye drops (5 cases, 6 eyes), lacrimal duct probing and fluid extraction (3 cases, 3 eyes), endoscopic cystotomy (3 cases, 3 eyes), and endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (1 case, 1 eye). The cure rate was 100%, with no recurrence or serious complications observed during the six-month follow-up. Conclusion: The personalized step-by-step treatment approach for congenital dacryocyst amniotic cyst is effective and safe, warranting clinical promotion.
