Abstract

Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (PAPVR) is a rare congenital cardiovascular anomaly in which one or more pulmonary veins drain into the systemic venous circulation instead of the left atrium. PAPVR can lead to right heart volume overload and pulmonary hypertension, especially when multiple veins are involved or when associated with congenital heart defects such as sinus venosus atrial septal defects (ASD). Early diagnosis is crucial for timely surgical correction to prevent long-term complications.
